This was done early on in the project, you can see a lot of the DNA of this in the game today but some areas were moved or removed as we learned more about what we needed from the house.
Back on God of War 2018 a small group of us came up with the space we call the Realm Between Realms. I remember looking at the realm tree map thinking the space between the realms would be a great fast travel location. Flash forward to God of War Ragnarök and we were able to weave this location into a pivotal area in the story, Sindri's home.
Finding the look of the home was one of the rare moments when you do a few sketches and one just strikes a chord with the team, you can see that initial sketch while a bit more humble translated fairly close to what we ended up with in game.
Over the course of the project I had the privilege of teaming up with amazing designers, artists and writers to make this dream tree house a reality.
